This may be covered somewhere else, and may seem obvious to some, but I thought I'd share this in the hopes that maybe it will help someone avoid the headaches I went through with this particular point on my PHAT Jasper 512.

Compared to the other points, this one is the most difficult IMHO because it is SO close to other points, and the margin of error is pretty much NIL. So... before you attempt this point, take the wire and trim the pre-tinned portion down to just a stub, the same size as the point. I also waited until my iron was just hot enough to melt solder, wiped it on the sponge to make sure the tip was free of excess solder, and then placed the wire right on top of the point with the iron tip on top of it. Just a second and it melds together.

Once again, the secret here is trim the exposed portion of the wire down to a stub! This spot is too tight for the wire as it comes.

This has definately been said here before also, but I feel it can't be said enough: If you have any doubts about your skill in this process, DON'T TRY IT! It will cost you a LOT more to get it fixed than to just have someone else do it!

Hope this helps someone out there.
