just wanted to tell everyone my experience while installing my first demon and some tips that will hopefully will help others.

my soldering and wiring went fine, just make sure you test out the demon before installing, so if you have any problems you can rule out the demon and its most likely your soldering or ribbon cables.

here are a few issues i came up with

if you get usb not recognised or freezing problems

check drivers, i got it working by manually installing the drivers.
don't pull the plug from wall socket, pull the cable from the 360 power socket and reinsert after 30 sec.
check ribbon cables are seated properly
try it on a different usb socket or a different computer even

manufacturer for code AF not found

check your soldering make sure there are no bridges
check ribbon cables are seated properly

if anyone anyone eles has any other tips please add thanks.

99% of "manufacturer for code ## not found" issues are related to soldering.

The DemoN and XBOX 360 Hynix NANDs will be identified as "0x73AD" when the installation is good.

In rare instances, the "not found" errors can also be related to the DemoN ribbon cable being damaged or not inserted correctly (I've seen a lot of manufacturer for code AA not found errors from faulty/not correctly connected ribbon cables).

A multimeter should be used after installation to verify that there are no solder bridges and also to check that each DemoN quick solder pad has continuity with the corresponding NAND pin on top.

Did my first DemoN today as well. Only problem i seem to have was with the ribbon cable and it being in correct. If i realised the black tab you pull out when putting the cable in also lifted up i would of had no problems at all. Good job i replaced my broken multimeter to tell me where the problems were.

I can see why they say there really only for pro modders as the quick solder parts are tiny and one slip it would be a nightmare
