Seems like Xbox Live can now detect X3 chips, even when they're disabled. I've just gotten banned, while i had the chip turned off. And yes, i'm sure it's off due to the fact that the chip won't let me connect if it's on.

Anyone know how to get unbanned from Xbox live?

i dont see how... you sure you didnt do anything else? if you do summit wrong it cantake a couple of weeks before your banned.

Positive. Load the game from the disk, and have the H2 update, and the mappack loaded, but that's it. I despise cheaters, so I can honestly say that I don't have any mods or such on my xbox. And i got my account like, two weeks ago, which is what's really pissin me off

Bungie made an announcement on Xbox-Scene quite a while ago about this. Unfortunately the minority (yet again) spoil it for the majority.

i have had a modded box for a long time and play on XBL everyday...nothing has ever happend to me....

did u change the HDD after u logged onto XBL for the first time???

i.e. log on XBL and play, maybe a few days later came acroos a new HDD, installed it and went back on XBL???? if so, then yep i believe u did get banned

Speaking of Being Banned

[font=verdana, arial, helvetica] I have a Xbox V1.0 that I just modded this week I was going to wait until I had my 360 then mod the box. But a funny thing happened one day
about 2 years after doing nothing more than a DVD drive replacement I started to get an Modified XBox error when accessing live. Now keep in mind that I have never used

1. Any Hack Games or Saves
2. No Chip Mods
3. No SoftMods Only the DVD replacemnt now 2 years old.

I called M$ and they told me that changing the DVD drive is the same as moding and I would not be able to access live anymore. After going threw two techs support guys and two supervisors I told them that I have in no way tried to "Hack" my xbox they did agree that I did not hack it but the dvd replacement still made it a modified XBox. Well I thanked them for nothing and hung up

The next day I went to Game Stop and picked up a used XBox with the Samsung Drive and recovered my live account onto it

I think this might by a way of M$ forcing everyone to but the 360 when it hits

well we all know u can't log onto XBL w/ a chip enabled....common sence....BUT...

If u log into XBL, with all original hardware( original dvd, original HDD, etc....), then change anything, then log back onto XBL.....M$ WILL know, i promise....and u WILL get banned......maybe not instantly, maybe not the next day.....but it will happen.....
so if u already logged onto XBL, then change some internals, u need to get a new EEPROM b4 logging onto XBL!

I just picked up a used XBox and recovered my live account onto it

No worries now I can mod my old one all I want

But I still think thst it sucks because I elected to changed my own broken DVD drive instead of paying M$ high fix prices for a DVD Drive that will break after 1 to 2 years gotta love the thompson drive

Nobody answeared my question, if it was on halo2 and he was modding. Then yeah they now scan the .map files for mods, but if it was a xbox/eeprom ban then...
