so i have a JTAG and want some updates or might want them im not sure yet (updates keep it simple for LAN party's). Any how I am curious as there are apps on the PS3 scene that will scan you PS3 HDD (via FTP) and USB HDD for game titles and than search the appropriate servers for the updates if there was a similar program like this for the 360.

i am aware that the game updates go in a folder (i have read places partition but i really dont know) titled cache and all of that but what is the easiest way to obtain title updates?

i have also read some where that FSD will get me my title updates if this is the case should i change my dashlaunch settings to not block the MS DNS servers aggressively?

if it helps any one any further i install all my 360 games using the NXE dash and than convert them to GOD with NXE2GOD

long as you can see the games in fsd you just just push yellow button and select title update manager and hit the button to download latest update. if you haven't got your nxe2god shown up in fsd then creeate a path in fsd game scan path settings to the content/00000000 folder.

I personally wx360 my games (or use copy dvd in fsd) and ftp them as read it has to scan 2 files per game for god games (and so is slower on scan at startup) where as games with a default.xex only scan one file.down to personal choice.

think there was 2 questions for xbox in dash launch 2.22 one block the other not.

ya the new dashlaunch asks would you like to block MS DNS yes or no

than shortly after (if not right after) asks would you like to aggressivelyblock the MS DNS and it also notes it will effect the functions of the FSD cover downloader and what not

i havent even really played with setting up FSD yet so im supposing its bout time to get that up and running properly i was having a hell of a time trying to config paths for it to locate my XBLA games as well as GOD 360, and as far as i know XBLA and GOD games are in the content directory in the root of HDD1

interesting i think i made my FSD make its own ini tho as i never changed the sample ini to represent my ini so i dont know perhaps a new install or some thing i will dink with it will probably have to turn off the block MS DNS aggressively bit also as it screws with FSD (it even says so when you install it) and if i am correct the title updates come from MS servers some where at least one would assume

im working on making Xlink Kai responsive ATM with my screwy ass network

i have a repeater piggy backing off my neighbors wifi (they know it) and from there ran it to a wireless router ( the wireless bridge didnt want to connect to the repeater) than ran it to my WRT54G with tomato set up as a wireless bridge for my devices that dont have any wifi adapters

this is going to get interesting :p the internet speeds arent terrible tho i mean the bridge itself can max out t wireless G speeds and the repeater/router that are linked together are all wireless N capable alon with the initial host (neighbor) router so im really only speed gimped at the wireless bridge

also i have 2 NIC cards on my kai dedicated PC that should help things about at least i would imagine

will report back once i have dinked with about 1000 other things to get this set up properly
