I have seen many threads where software is the issue!

People cant create freeboot images, ecc files, getting CPU incorrect...

Please for the love of god: USE JTAG TOOL, it is pretty much idiot proof!!

Find it here: http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54178

AND please watch these videos: team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62715

The information is here JUST PLEASE USE IT... Too many have f**ked up, blame coolrunner and then get shunned. Save yourself some embarrassment.

ALSO if you have never soldered/cant/dont use flux/are an idiot(denial is first step)/rush things/dont think/haste full... JUST PAY SOMEONE TO DO IT!! DONT RISK AN EXPENSIVE CONSOLE!!!

Special thanks to coolshrimp... You are the Man... TX and all other hackers too... gli, trios, c4,TJ, geremia, matrix, max

I would say the opposite.

DO NOT USE JTAG TOOL.

I have had issues where the ecc was the wrong build.

If you rely on pretty GUI graphics to do everything then if/when it goes wrong, you don't have a clue what do to about it and invariably come here to ask for help on it.

Learn the commands to read/write the NAND. Run through multi_builder twice. First time without cpu key (as you won't have it) and again with (for the RGH image). Write to the console and you're done.

It's not rocket science and if you're having issues with typing in commands, maybe you shouldn't be opening a games console.

Multibuild and command line all the way!

no offence but OP needs to think more clearly before he posts rubbish.

yes its a very good app for certain things but is nowhere up to date and if im not mistaken it wont be anytime soon.

stick with Multibuild and command line, use provided tutorials for this if you need to. I use this on every console i have done with 100% success

..until it builds the ecc wrong and you end up messing about with other things trying to get it to work..

Bottom line is this - if you don't know how to type a few command lines (3 I think), you have no business modifying consoles.

Nandpro and multi-builder is all you need and they both work exactly as they're supposed to.

I second this. The more control you have over what is being put together throughout the process, the less likely it is that it will fail after flashing. And if you cannot type a few commands in (albeit copy and paste them ffs) then you DONT have any business in this business. Period.

I've done 3 consoles now 2xphats and one slim, I use cmd to dump the nand (jtag tool dumps the whole nand every time) multi-builder to xell\build glitch file, Jtag tool to write the glich file back to nand and also program the coolrunner. Hay I',m an equal opportunist what can I say
