To play Backup disks on XBox 360....

Hello:

Ok I managed so far at least to burn my first backup using X360 USB Pro V2 with an Hitachi GDR-3120L Drive; checked ok with abgx (twice then all green) then burned the iso to an Maxell DVD 8x, but only at 2.5x
After completed, tried playing it on my XBox and it did not play, just read and went back to dashboard
My XBox is not moded in any ways; does it have to be hacked to be able to play my backed games?
The whole purpose was to take backup games and leave the originals home when traveling!! If i have to tamper with the XBox 360 dashboard then I feel the backingup process is all for nothing..
I am confused here; please help me understand this thing; I have been doing it for days now and reading a lot of stuff that do not make full sense still

you have to flash your xbox 360 with LT and you have to use an ihas dvd drive flashed and burn the games.

I thought from what i have been reading that having the x360 USB Pro V2 will work with ANY drive. Now, what is "to flash the xbox 360 with "LT" ?" is that the special dashboard which bans you from xbox live? and what is a "flashed ihas dvd drive?"

in order to play backups of the games you own you have to flash your xbox 360 with Lt 3.0 firmware mate.

ok I understand that part but doesnt doing that makes the xbox "illegal" as far as xbox live goes? doesnt that makes xbox live ban your console when you get online or is it that backing up your games that you legally own, when you play them you cant even play them live????
What is the figging purposes of the backup then or why even talk about being legal if the xbox gets banned with a moded firmware?
I need more clarification other than a few words.

you get banned for a bad flash or bad burn,micosoft dont care if you own the game or not,if they see a irregular game no stealth playing live they gonna have you banned for that,and you cant give to them the excuse that own the game from where you made the backup.so follow the rules,step by step,protect yourself at all time,take time to read and learn.
