"To play this disc" error.

Hi Everyone:

Could you please guide me into what i need to read and is there a fix for "To play disc, put it in an xbox 360 console" I've retrieved keys and restore but no luck. This is a used console not sure if is the original drive?

As far as I know, at this time, we can not read dvd key infromation from the motherboard. Correct me if I'm wrong.

if you don't have the key anymore that matches your xbox360 motherboard... i think you can toss this 360 in the bin because you can't make it working anymore >_>

if it plays dvds but not original games you got a 360 without a matching DvD Drive. If that is the case your SOL

Maybe a couple of months later, we have a program to calculate the DVD key from other information acquired from the motherboard. Just like orginal XBox, we can read eeprom from the motherboard.

Thanks Everyone for your quick reply and great info. I guess it a vdv player until we can get the keys from the motherboard. Not completely sol.
