Could I insert the disk into a non-flashed Xbox 360, and if it gives the white screen with "Please insert this disk into an Xbox 360" that means it will work? Because wouldn't it just give the disk error otherwise?

that doesnt mean it will work, theres still alot of factors that can vary the successful boot of a back-up
