To Update or Not, That's the Question (2.0.13599.0)

Since I've been out of the loop for quite a while, I was wondering if I should update this 360 or not?
I'm pretty sure I wanted to keep this 360 original as I also have a Xenon with CFW and a JTAGable Jasper (I still need to finish it ), and I probably have 2 or 3 more (Not sure if those work, at least 1 is dead).
Any reason why I shouldn't update this Falcon with BenQ VAD6038 drive?

There is no reason not to update the dashboard version.

If the console is banned from XBOX Live, you can use RGH to run homebrew on it.

I didn't really expect a reason not to update it, but you never know.
The update (2 actually) went fine and it downloaded some cars for Forza(?) too, so it doesn't seem to be banned, which is not really a surprise, but I am wondering why I had taken it apart... Possibly to cut away the metal "fan/finger guards" for better cooling and less noise, making an extended duct... and what not.
Anyway, that was not a bad thing as the drawer was stuck from collecting dust for 6 years or so.

Hopefully I will find some time in the near future to finish my way overdue JTAG project.
