Sorry if this might be a stupid question, but I'm just trying to be safe.

I'm on LT2.0 but I still want to play xgd3 games (I am totally offline and didn't get the dae.bin update). However, I don't want to have to reburn later when I get 3.0. Can I apply topology data and then use the disks with my LT2.0 for now and be ready for 3.0? I understand that I can't go online until the 3.0 upgrade.

not sure if I understand the question 100%,do you want to apply topology data to your already burned discs or do you just want to reburn new discs so you have them for LT3.0,and be able to play them in the meanwhile on your LT2.0 drive?coz to my knowledge you cant add anything to already finalised discs and new rips (including topology data ) won't boot on LT2.0 as they had a specific challenge set that it read. Then again I may be wrong altogether..

Its an slim? If so. Wait for 3.0 then reburn your games. I really do not know if u can play games with topology data on lt2,0

Yes, I have a liteon 0225 slim. I want to burn with topology data and play on LT2.0

I'm seeing that LT2.0 won't work with topology patched xdg3, right?

correct
discs burnt with the injected topology shouldn't work with lt2.0 (that's what i have been reading anyway)
if they do they haven't been done properly

I injected the topology on a backup to play in my benq xbox and the same disk also works in my hit 78 xbox no problems

Yes works fine, i tested in the hit console cos i updated the dash to the newest before flashing and after thought i shouldnt have so tested the burn in that also.

Also the topology has been injected right as i was getting unsupported disk in the benq before lt+3.0

Why don't you just use your originals if you so desperatley want to play the xgd3 games....?

Some hitatchi 78/79 have been reported as not having ap25 activated (even though the drive supports it). This is probably why your 78 works.

As for the topo data... if 2.0 read topo data don't you think they would have just given the topo info? They didn't make 3.0 for no reason...

AKA TOPO REQUIRES 3.0
2.0 discs and 3.0 discs are not interchangeable.
