I never owned an xbox 360 and want to profit from the fact that the console is now quite old to buy a used one for a cheap price. My problem now is that I'm overwhelmed by all the possibilities and I think that I need some advices.

I would like to buy a model that I could modify without too much troubles (preferably avoiding to solder anything) and being able of launching backups from the hard drive. Also if possible from a console that has a good reliable reputation for not failing after a while. I also have no idea how to recognize what model is what on pictures on ebay. So if you could tell me what model to take and how to recognize it, that would be very nice. Thanks!

I don't care at all about xbox live and would keep it offline.

Thanks for any informations.

For no soldering option u will have to flash the drive to play backup discs of your games.
Also jasper is the most reliable Xbox and easy to flash.
