Ok. I got my demon installed successfully and it was working properly although the stock NAND installed to the motherboard was on dashboard 13599 so I decided to update via usb. The console rebooted and hung on a black screen so I shut it down and now it won't turn on it just sits there with the green power button on and no video, no green rings, no red rings...It just hangs there. I flashed back the stock NAND to the dash and reprogrammed the demon with the hacked image and it's still doing the same thing. I don't get it. Any thoughts?

Why haven't you retried to boot XeLL?
just tried it and I get the same thing...I let it sit for a minute and it goes to 0022 RROD

it's like I'm stuck in between the updates so it's coming up with bad NAND...

He's already burnt extra efuses now from starting the update.
Understood - fuses 02 is probably updated but my point still stands. you should still be able to read/write to the NAND.

no I can read/write to the NAND, I was suggesting a possible bad NAND flash because it's 0022 but I can read / write

well neither side is booting, I tried rewriting the old dashboard original nand from 13599 and I rewrote the hacked image to the demon as well and it's still doing the same thing it wont boot on stock or from the demon.

It is definitely a bad NAND flash now that you started an update and then wrote back an old nanddump
so what should I do to get working? can you at least point me to a thread I can read.

and I did also try creating a retail image on 16203 and no joy

this is RGH.

first I glitched the system, installed the coolrunner and hacked image and everything booted fine. I got the demon and updated it to 1.04 firmware and flashed the hacked image to the demon. I installed the demon. I flashed the stock nand back to the console which was on dash 13599. I booted it up and it was working flawlessly on both NANDS. I put a usb in with the 16203 update on it and tried to update the stock NAND from 13599 to 16203 and it asked to install program and security updates...I clicked yes and it shut down and hasn't booted up since.

Is it possible that I could have had the stock nand on the demon and tried to update that and blew efuses or something...I was positive that the demon had the hacked 16203 image. Do the blue LED's on the front usb mean that the stock NAND is selected? And with a failed update shouldn't I still be able to boot from the demon side?

Blue LEDS mean whatever NAND you flashed to the demon is active
well that's strange because I had flashed the hacked 16203 image to my demon but when the blue leds were lit and I powered up the system it was on dash 13599. How about if you're writing the nand with the nand x hooked up and the blue leds are selected, will this write that nand to the demon? Cuz maybe I wrote my stock nand to the demon through the nand x when i thought I was writing to the system flash and then I tried updating the stock nand that was stored on the demon via USB. Is this able to be recovered if this is the case?

Read my RGH Roadmap for noobies to work out where you went wrong.

I could just tell you, but seeing as you should have read that first, now's a good time.
