It can improve boot times but sometimes it has no effect or less effect. It's all about tuning to u'r particular console. Is the cpu_rst wire as short as it can be. Some consoles have a faulty join between CPU and motherboard which can slow glitch time but have no effect on a stock box. A reflow will sort that out.

Sorry if I upset anybody but to clarify I was referring to when RGH2 first came out and the boot times were reported to me by "professional" modders as awful, now we have the CR4 XL with what I would call excellent glitch times for such a simple install.

It's a huge leap forward, so I am stoked with mine which glitches often in 1 - 3 cycles but can as the OP found can take 8 or 9 cycles on occasions but still glitches.

Thanks TX for making such a great chip.
