Hello, recently my slim (trinity) gives me error code 0032, sometimes it starts but most of the time it doesn't.

The slim has an Xecuter pcb but no soldering is done (was before the lock)

how can i fix the problem ? bad Nand ?

thanks

Don't do it if you don't have the proper equipment. A heat gun is NOT considered proper equipment.
i have a Atten hot air station, thermo couple, en other reball/reflow stuf.

hope that does the job. found a tutorial on google how to do it.

any suggestions would be appreciated.

Good to hear. Many people believe that the heat gun method is a proper fix. I myself don't do reflows. I have the equipment but not the time to learn to use it so I can't give you any reliable tips.

If you have the propper equipment, you shouldnt need a guide from google on how to reball. I dont know anyone that would pay that much without even knowing how to use the tools. this tells me that you probably shouldnt reball it, as I have heard some horror storys about people screwing up their xboxes when reballing, and not quite knowing what they are doing. I would start with something else other then the xbox. Start with an old pc motherboard. doesnt have to work, more people screw up removing the excess solder.

Did you do the nudge test when you reflow? If so you may need a reball instead to fix it.

no didn't do the nudge test, is that safe to apply small pressure in the corners ?

i think the problem may be the preheater, now it is 1,9cm from the board going to lower it to an cm.
or maybe tune the thermostat a bit, cause it heats the upper side of the board to 110 c.

i dont use flux cause i dont know how to clean it properly.

If you don't use Flux then don't reflow it, and yes it's safe to nudge the chip a little to see that every solderball has melted but only do this when you have applied Flux.

also that bottom heater aint doin the job if it only gets top side to 110.in general the bottom heater should be doing roughly 75-85% of whats needed to reflow/reball.so that means the bottom heater alone should be reaching 175-185 on top tc without top heat.and reflowing without flux is just silly.

thats why i said i would tune it a bit, the thermostat is now unlocked and the top side of the board reaches 185 c ;)

also ordered some liquid flux.
