I 4 got to mention I accidentally left the fan unplugged when attempting to boot it up it was like 20 secs then i turned it off immediately this might have a roll in why there is trouble with freezing?

That solder point looks fine. That wouldn't be giving the freezing issues. The fan being unplugged is fine since it ddnt over heat and was only for 20 seconds. I'm thinking its gonna be a sb issue since its not over heating but just freezing.

So back with some interesting info, retail NAND goes to red dot was going to reflow over weekend but i read that applying pressure on xgcpu helps... So i place it on soft fabric out of cage and apply some pressure during boot up and wouldn't u know it boots instantly. Cud all this be 4rm not enough pressure on xgcpu?!

Or is a reflow still worth doing? I got some titanium screws would that help i can keep turning slowly see if that helps... What u guys think?
Sadly didnt bring drive to test game but if i release the pressure wouldn't it eventually freeze? Trying to say needs to have more pressure at all times that's y i think screws cud help?

Or would that just be a temp fix and the sb or xgcpu cud still need reflowing?

You absolutely need a reball. Skip the reflow, it's a temporary fix. Applying more pressure to pinpoint the problem is okay, but using bolts and washers is NOT the answer! Do it right the first time.

Reflow is not always a temp fix it its just a cold solder joint a reflow is fine. But a reball is for a long lasting solution. But that is also if the Guy doing the reball knows what he's doing

But wont it happen again if it happened the first time? How long of a temp fix is the reflow a few months, a year?

Thnx sasuke for using ur sharingan to help see this from a different view :)

Done properly with the right equipment, materials and knowledge, you wouldn't have the same problem again for several years if at all. It's the combination of lead-free solder and thermal expansion/contraction cycles which results in fractured and cold solder joints. Reflowing isn't going to change the composition of the solder alloy, so you will eventually face the same problem.

OK understood, since i applied pressure on xgcpu that mean it is most likely the culprit instead of sb or could it still be sb?

Also i was told by a buddy that there is a xex file that automatically pairs dvd drives with MoBo's this true?!

Well i just know a reflow person :(
I'll reflow it and not play to excessive amounts of time hopefully that will help prolong its life a lil? I have been contemplating on buying a Scotle IR PRO SC V4 just haven't pulled the trigger yet
