Hardware: Proto V2
Status: Chip removed
Image: Retail Image written back
Description:
So i was having a no boot issue with the proto earlier, everything was working fine. The console would glitch almost instantly every time, then i go back to boot the console 30 minutes later and it wouldn't boot to the dashboard at all it would just attempt to glitch, i removed the chip entirely after doing some testing and wrote back the retail image. Now for some odd reason the console will boot every time, however it will get red dot. I can still navigate through the dashboard and play games etc fine but its just red dot? I have cleaned up all points after removing the chip and check the board for stray solder, damage, etc, even though i am very meticulous and precise when i solder and i have come up empty as to a solution for this problem. I found another topic on here that says its caused by a poorly placed CPU_RST wire, however again i am booting with no chip into a retail image. I feel like i have had this issue before somewhere down the line with a different console but i cant remember what i did to fix it. If anybody has any ideas i would certainly appreciate the advise.
(This would be the issue i am having. Not my video)
