Hi guise.

Done about 8 RGH trinity with Coolrunner, Maximus and the Digilent Coolrunner. And 6 Falcon RGH's.

Also worked as a self-taught service technician on gaming consoles the last 10 years. Got the soldering skills to prove it :D

Saying this to give you a picture of my skillset first.

Now, to my problem:

Just did a Trinity RGH with TX Coolrunner Rev B.

It boots up within 4 seconds on first try, and everything seems fine.

I close up the xbox and Im going to install Xexmenu etc.

Suddenly the Xbox turns itself off.

I try to turn it on, it doesnt react. And after 5 seconds it turns on with full fans, then slow fans down, then full up again, etc etc.

The Xbox now seems to be having a heart-attack.

I removed all my wiring, reflashed original nand, and booted up, everything works.

Now, I reinstall everything with a new TX Coolrunner.

It boots up, works fine for about 5 minutes, then turns itself off and same stuff over again.

Now, my pride tells me my wiring is perfect, but I am but a mere human, so clearly something must be wrong with my wiring, yeah?

Tried to rewire, but still same issue.

Anyone know what might help here?

The Xbox turns itself off and on several times, and the fan increases and decreases in speed.

Thanks to both of you for your quick response.

Bl4k3y, I tried setting it to Phat, but same result.

I also noticed that once it finally boots, it freezes in the menu after a couple of minutes.

I will try both ur advices later today.

Anyone else gotten this error before?

I will try alternate points, and rewire without the QSB later today. Anyone else experienced trinity's freezing after its glitched?

you have far too much cable stripped, try cutting the stripped ends down and re-solder.
Really? Huh, that's weird, Im using the supplied cables that came with the TX Coolrunner.

I switched out the 50cm wire that also came included with a thicker wire I got, and it immediately glitched.

So problem solved now.

Seems using the 50cm wire supplied with TX Coolrunner can cause Xbox 360 slim to not glitch.

On another note, regarding the length of the CPU_RST wire:

Im selftaught in electronics, and never heard of anything like this. How 40cm vs 50cm can act differently.

I guess its more or less the same issue as with Ground-Bounce on PS2 modding back in the day.

Next stop: Get more shielded wires!

Thanks for ur time, people. This thread can be marked as solved.

It's a timing thing - because you're self taught, you've probably not wondered why traces on a PCB sometimes go around the houses rather than a straighter route when it's possible to? Timing. Same thing here.
