Replacing an xcgpu on a trinity board. I have physically replaced the nand with the one from the donor board. IIRC you need to rebuild the nand to match the current CB/e-Fuses. When I read the nand with the nand-x it says header is wrong but gets the board type correct. What am I doing wrong?

swapping the nand chip for the one that came from the board the xcgpu came from should have been enough.something else isnt right.if the nand didnt come from the same board as xcgpu, you need to glitch it,and use info to build a rgh nand, will only be any good for rgh,not retail in this case.

Well, the system was indeed a retail image. It looks like I may have bridged a few pins and erased the nand. J-runner shows no info other than CB_A, CB_B, and CD. Junking this board now. Too much time invested.

*Edit* looks like I may have swapped the wrong nand on...

if you took the time to put a cpu on it,just for kicks write a trinity premade ecc out the jrunner folder and try to glitch it,assuming your sure your soldering on nand chip is ok that is,and get the cpu key.from there you can least build a rgh image and get it going as rgh.

It sounds like the NAND has (or had) an ECC image written to it.

Was the CB version 9188 by any chance?
Yes it was...? Are you psychic?! But seriously. If I swap this with a subscription lock xcgpu and nand it will transfer to the receiving system, right?

yes,the only way to bypass that is permenant rgh with nomobile option selected when building nand.
