g'day.
was hoping for some help/insight with this problem.
1.6b xbox with initially xapt3r + X3 - followed all the instructions/pictures with all LED's lighting up fine. Due to a triple f annoying snafoo during my first flash via HTTP my wireless network took a leave of abscence (!!!). This was on the setting on on off off off.
It has not been able to boot up on flashbio 3.0.3 (with switches on off on off off off) - it'll just blank screen or power down after 0.5sec but I thought i was fortunate enough to get flashbios 3.0.1 to work by going through backup mode - this was very fiddly. I found I would get a stable boot on 3.0.1 if i went into backup mode (by pressing power + eject) then pressed eject for ~1sec (the light would go orange, then i get into flashbios).
Anyway, managed to get my wireless back and go for the flash via http. I've tried almost all builds known to man, all in the v16plus variety, and it'll upload fine, go through the motions, then at the end of the write it outputs 'programming failed' then freezes.
_Occasionally_ on reboot to that bank i've attempted to write it'll come up with the x3 rox my box logo, but then jump to the normal xbox settings screen, but most of the time it'll do sweet fa on reboot.
I then ditched the xapt3r thinking this was the dodgy point and soldered the pcb instead, but am getting the same error message, as with using write via dvd method.
Any suggestions or similar experiences? I'm flummoxed.
