I've got a v1.6b xbox, and i installed an xecuter3 ce. It appears to have gone well, because when is tart it up now i get to the flashbios 3.0.3 screen.
Heres where the problem starts.
I'm trying to flash it over the network, and i have my xbox connected directly to my PC via a crossover cable. the LAN light on the front switch blinks orange sporadically when i turn it on.
Anyhow, i select the "enable network flashing" and wait for it to spit out the ip address. It just gives me the default one, and i can neither connect via FlashFXP, or my web browser.
I tried connecting with my webbrowser by putting in http://192.168.0.99 like it says at http://www.teamxecuter.com/flashbios/http.htm but that doesnt work. It just says connection timed out.
I also tried connecting with FlashFXP, you just put 192.168.0.99 in the server or URL of the quick connect box right? and that doesnt work either...
So, any ideas? is there a soldering point i may have not gotten well?
I'm really at a loss of what to do.
Any suggestions? i would go buy a CD-RW and try to flash it that way, but i want to get my xbox hooked up to my PC anyways so i can backup files and transfer stuff back and forth.
