I am trying to install programs/emulators to my xbox via ftp, and am having trouble doing so. I can access my xbox but have no idea what to do with the files once there. The program I am trying to install is dvd2xbox. Please help if you have done this before or know where i can go to find the necessary information. Thanks

Hey,
You can also use the available space on the C drive if you want.

The best way to setup Evox is to edit the ini file like this:

Section "Launch Menu"
{
Section "Games"
{
AutoAddItem "c:\games\"
AutoAddItem "e:\games\"
AutoAddItem "f:\games\"
SortAll
}
Section "Apps"
{
AutoAddItem "c:\apps\"
AutoAddItem "e:\apps\"
AutoAddItem "f:\apps\"
SortAll
}
}
}

When you place the files in the directories like Hoboz listed they will automatically be added to the evox dashboard.

this doesn't seem to be working... what type of files does the xbox recognize as executables? When I do what you say, the xbox doesn't seem to recognize that the files are there. I'm not sure what to do

.xbe files are the executable file extentions.

make sure that you create the folder apps and then create the folder dvd2xbox in the apps folder, and then put all your dvd2xbox files in the dvd2xbox folder.

then edit your evox ini file like Floppy Mohawk said in his post. reboot and it will show up in the evox apps listing.

74850C Probe Question

I just got a 74850C LiteOn and I was wondering if it was possible to flash it without probing it.

Re: 74850C Probe Question

Yes if you bridge the R707 Point either with a paperclip or solder it. :)

Which i have tried with the paperclip but for some reason i still cant get the key from a liteon drive 7xxx series :(

Re: 74850C Probe Question

If it's just a matter of bridging for a short time, then you could rub over the contacts with a pencil to bridge it temporarily then erase it when finished.

Re: 74850C Probe Question

Thats the first i have heard wih a pencil. How is the pencil going to work??

How do you manage to extract the key without using the probe? Does it still need to be connected on the COM PORT or do you use the other com port to do this? :)

Re: 74850C Probe Question

I have heard of the graphite pencil bridge method however haven't ever attempted anything like that personally and am not sure of the success rate.

Re: 74850C Probe Question

I've had success just using a very small flat head screwdriver to bridge the R707 pads.

Re: 74850C Probe Question

I went through my old firefox bookmark file to find the original tutorial I used. Hopefully you can reference what information you need to use with your own set up.

Re: 74850C Probe Question

Finally after 5 days solid baffling my brain i solved this problem. Just bought a new probe and had numerous problems with different OS with jungleflasher but went back to Windows 7 x32 Bit and finally got the key i wanted :)
