I downloaded the X3 1957 bios from Xbins, and when I open it up in WinRAR, it shows it as the file type: AVG update file........(I am currently running AVG anti virus software on my computer)

My question is will this effect anything? I know that I am supposed to somehow save it as BIOS.BIN for it to work on my Xbox, but I don't know what to use other than the X2 Bios manager tool? What do I need to save this as BIOS.BIN, and remove the file type name "AVG update file"? Thanks for any help.

My goal is to flash my X3 mod chip, with the X3 1957 bios. So far I have managed to obtain the RAR file and extract it. It is displayed as a "AVG update file" and is 1024kb. (AVG is my anti-virus software on my computer? I do not know if this is relavent to my question or not)

I am going by this tutorial: http://www.teamxecuter.com/biosimage.htm

It is instructing me to save the files name as "BIOS.BIN", the only program that I have read that is supposed to enable me to do this is "X2 BIOS Manager v.2.2". (I don't know if it is working, because it says "X2", and I am working with a X3 BIOS)

So I use the X2 bios manager tool to save it as "bios.bin", and attempt to follow the tutorials guide on burning it with Nero 6. Going by the pictures in the Nero burning portion of the guide, it shows the word Joilet but does not tell me whether it should be enabled or not. So my question is under File System on the ISO tab in Nero 6, do I need to select ISO 9660 only or ISO 9600 + Joilet? Thanks for any help.

Joilet DISABLED

You do not have to have any specific program to rename the file..... click on it and click rename.

Also, run the ISO 9660 no multisession.... finalized.

do you SEE the extension of the file (that's the '.bin' part) ????

if you don't then in the windows explorer click on 'Tools' then 'Folder Options' then click on the 'View' tab then make sure that the 'Hide extensions for known file types' is NOT checked, then click on OK

you should see the extension now .... now just do what prod sayed and you should be fine :) :)

360 won't play tekken 6 or L4D2

Ok here's the deal I got my 360 modded from a buddy of mine about 2-3 months ago in school. We lost contact so i had to find a new source for all my gaming needs. I found a new guy and got Tekken 6 and L4D2 from him and they didn't work. When ever I put them in the 360, I get a Play DVD message and from there nothing. Now Initially a friend and I thought maybe this was due to the current guy having games compatible with a different mod from the guy whom initially did my 360. But before hand I had borrowed a copy of SF4 which was burned by the guy whom gave me the games in which i have an issue with and SF4 works without an issue. So after talking to the guy it tuns out I need to get my firmware updated so i can play the new games. Things is dude is charging me for it and I just handed him over $20 for 2 placeholders in my cd case. (which i think is kinda whack seeing as this is no fault of my own or his)

So the question is is there anyway I can do this update myself and if possible without cracking open my 360.
