LITEON 74850 Trying to find NEW Liteon Drive.

Hi guys i wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction. I need a brand new liteon drive and i dont care which model aslong as its new. I have just forked out £35 to Modtraders who have gave me a "brand New" 74850c. Its full of scratches has a manufactured date of July 2008 and clearly isnt new. I really want to avoid being scammed again so if anyone knows of where i can get a NEW liteon drive please let me know.

Thanks for the link ill check it out, the only reason i never looked on ebay is because ive had same problem there before with a brand new benq which was in awful condition when it arrived. Really im looking for someone who has recently bought one and can say for sure that they are Brand NEW drives being sold.

you can always send the seller a message with any questions and/or concerns you have about the item before you buy and if they don't reply, don't buy, nice thing about ebay is your most likely dealing with a person who will the time to reply to you

i also checked dealsextreme but they are currently out of stock, so if your not ina hurry you could wait until they have more in stock if they plan to restock it

@ kaotik I have used http://www.ck3.co.uk/ many times for xbox stuff but I've never bought one of their drives.

They have excellent customer service. Good luck...

All drives out there will be refurbs, they may look new but they are not brand new. Everyone is just trying to pass them off as brand new.

The MTUK drive had a brand spanking new PCB and laser fitted - and they ALL will have a date of 2007/2008 (duh) - they had a shortage of new cases so switched to reconditioned ones.

These are LITEON DG-16D2S drives for the Xbox 360 with brand new lasers fitted. We are supplied with reconditioned cases yet we service these ourselves with brand new lasers and make sure that they work perfectly before they are shipped. You will find that other drives on sale are sold as reconditioned but will come with the same old faulty lasers.
Another useful feature of these LITEON DG-16D2S drives is that they can be turned in to a ripping drive using a CK3 Pro or CK3 Lite and the 0800 firmware.

General Warning About Changing XBOX 360 Drives

With all 360 drives you need to extract the DVD key from your old drive and flash that key into this new drive, you may also need to spoof the drive if you're not replacing a drive with the exact same brand or model. This is all not a simple procedure and should only be performed by people that know what they are doing with 360 repair and flashing the drive firmware. It is not possible to just take out the old drive and install this new one without flashing the key from your old drive in to the new one. We recommend you use tools such as a CK3 Pro and the X360USB PRO device for extracting and programming your DVD key.
