Hi guys,

I have a 47 drive that has an older ix firmware that I'm trying to update to LTPlus 2.0 but with no luck. I'm stuck trying to restore the stock firmware.

Here's the error I get in JF:

Restoring Stock f/w to Hitachi 0046/0047 by Ram Upload Method via WIN32 API
UnLocked!
Dumping Flash:................................Loading firmware from buffer
Parse Failed !

Drive rev undetermined, Aborting!

Any advise would be appreciative.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the fast reply.

Yes I've sent mode B.

Are you using an USB360Pro or sata card Via 6421?I have just finished flashing my older 47 as well with usb360pro-reverted to stock first then loaded source-HOFW then target as latest FW spoofed key into source, then proceeded to auto flash.I have used WIN or Port I/O-with usbpro and worked with RAM Upload no problem.

Have you used via 6421 on this computer to flash this particular drive before? and I assume your Raid drivers are disabled.USBpro is the way to go no issues with drivers.

your log shows that no hitachi drives have been found.

Send mode B then open your device manager and scan for changes this should then install the drive and JF should see it

Yes, I just got done updating my LiteOn drive, never had any issues.

Tired that and scanning for hardware changes brings up nothing...

So it looks like it maybe a driver issue?

The drive is not detected in Windows but does show up in JF however after reading the JF tutorial, it reads this:

"WinAPI should be used where possible, although WinAPI requires the drive to be assigned a drive letter, this isnt possible with a VIA 6421 with Drivers Removed."

Now since my primary drive is a LiteOn, I have the raid drivers removed. I'm gonna try and install the drivers and see if that works. Then just remove them again for my LiteOn drives.

Problem SOLVED.

All that was needed was to have the raid drivers installed. Now I'll just have to remember to "uninstall" then for my LiteOn drive. :eek2:

Of course you have to have the sata drivers installed when flashing an hitachi how else is windows supposed to get a drive letter in modeb?

If you guys actually read what you are told first by the pro's you'd never need to post with these silly problems.
