Not knowing I flashed my Xbox with the regular X3, and even though it flashed correctly now all that i get is the Xbox turning on and shutting off almost immediatly a few times and then the flashing green to amber. My best guess is that i flashed it with the wrong BIOS version, but I am not sure and i do not know how to get back to the FlashBIOPS 3.0.3 screen.(I have tried holding down white button during boot & have tried holding down power & eject)

Do you have a 1.6B? If so you'll need version 3.0.3 as you stated, but if you don't have a 1.6B then vers. 3.0.1 will do you well enough. That is located on your backup which should be accessed using eject&power pushed together during boot.

If you have access to another xbox/chip, you can do a hotswap. Cheers

I think you misunderstood me becuase I did not specify, I think I installed the regular X3 BIOS 3108 on my Xbox, when I think I should have installed X3 3108 x16 plus, because it is a lter version Xbox. And because I can no longer access the modchip with out it turning off immdediatly.

I have the same problem, the flashing failed, and now it won't boot up, and the backup just gives me a black screen. As has bank one (on on off off off) since i installed the chip. My chip is 3.03 flash bios and a 1.6b xbox. How can i get it back to where I can try to flash it again?

Priest: 1.6 version has samsung ram, 1.6B has hynix. Which is it?
Shadowfall: With your 1.6B you need flashbios 3.0.3 Sounds like you've got that so good. Which bios you using? You need the 16plus version of the bios.

I have the 1.6 version if you mean Samsung DVD-Rom, but a question I have is that in the tutorial I read it said nothing about flashBIOS, I just DL X3 BIOS, do I need flashBIOS too if I am already at the blue screen that says FlashBIOS 3.0.3

Priest: If you've got Flahsbios 3.0.3 then your looking good. No I didn't mean your DVD i meant your RAM. It's the memory chip on your mobo. It will either say samsung or Hynix. Anyway, now you've got FB running, just flash your chip with the X3 bios you DL.

Shadowfall: I think this is in the bug reports. Something to do with changing your config live skin to something other than default. then changing it back. Try that.

But my original problem Rookio is that I did flash it with my DL BIOS and the modchip won't turn on, I think is because I flashed with X3 BIOS 3108 regular, not X3 v16plus. Is there a way for me to reflash and if not should I just go ahead and try flashing with X3 BIOS v16plus

Sorry Priest, I didn't go back and read your original post...

I have been confusing myself (and probably you) by thinking that a 1.6 and a 1.6B used a different X3 bios, when in fact they don't.

I appologise for this. Yes, flash your chip using the v16plus and you should be alright.

Again, Sorry!

Shadowfall that is a bug in the Bios, mine does it too. If your Hub/Router/Switch has DHCP enabled the Xbox should pull down an IP anyway. Access your Router/Hub/Switch's DHCP IP Table and find out which IP was most recently distributed and that's your Xbox.
I THINK that was stable in X3 3029 Bios, so if you really want that stuff you'll need to downgrade for now.

Priest: Use the Backup Bios and Reflash with v16plus. You do not need to download FlashBios if you are seeing the Blue screen, simply select your flashing method and run with it.

Happy Modding!
