Hi, its been ages since I replaced a drive, but I have one im doing tonight, I cant remember what I had to do and I cant seem to find anything in the search engine to help me, I don't know what the hell im doing if im honest, i'll post a log now in a few mins

I have a 0225 drive that is not reading discs, laser and ribbon etc have been changed, this is stock and presumably locked, I have the dummy.bin from the 0225 drive, the 9504 said it was unlocked when I bought it online

I loaded the 9504 drive up in JF, got it into vendor mode, used the dummy.bin file from the 0225 drive as the source firmware then i auto-loaded LT+ 3.0, went back to the MTK tab and it wrote fine, so I don't understand sorry

I don't understand, its been ages since I replaced a slim drive, all I know is that the drive is not a 9504 now its turned into a 0225 with LT+ 3.0, well its what its saying on JF

was there no spi lock on ? if was set to 0x00 and unlocked your gonna have to change spi to locked 0x08

also you need to update your usbpro to v0.21 as well mate

there was no spi lock on the new drive, after everything was successful I locked the drive so Im pretty sure its done now, I went to try it last night but the drive wouldn't eject so i'll take another looked after work today and see whats the problem

The only major problem is mate, now that its locked & its a winbond, your gonna have to do the kamikaze hack to unlock it again if you need to re-write the fw.

JF picks up the drive, all the firmware etc went through lovely, I just found out of my cousin, the drive is refurbished, as im fixing this for him, the drive does not open, even when its in the console and when linked up to the pc with my ck3 pro, any ideas anyone?

I think my cousin has bought a duff drive, any idea why there tray wont eject? it seems dead, laser is not lit or anything. no movement in the laser if I move it

duff drive is off the internet which is the drive that's unlocked, but now flashed with the dummy.bin from the original drive that was in the xbox

I thought so, is there a little hole just below the "K" of mediatek in the main chip of the board
