I'm trying to rip my own 360 games and cant seem to get the XDG3 games to rip properly and check threw ABGX, im using a BenQ phat DVD rom and the x360 USB pro v2 and Xbox Backup Creator, to my understanding i dont need the 0800 FW flashed to the drive if i am using the x360 USB pro v2. the following log was an ABGX readout of an XGD3 game that i tried ripping with stock firmware:

This is a very large video partition that isn't hosted on the database, so
you'll have to find it elsewhere and put it in your StealthFiles folder --
Since XGD3 video partitions are unique for every game, you probably won't find
it online and will have to rip another copy of the game instead
AutoFix Failed!
Can any one point me in the right direction so i can finally get the ripping process sorted please?

EDIT:
just noticed is XGD3 not XDG3 lol oops my bad

Post your XBC log please.

The native rip function of the x360USBPro v2 needs the drive's DVD key to be in the JF database.
ok will post the log for my next rip later today when i go to rip a game again....perhaps try a different game? i unno lol

After going threw my logs i was looking at XBC recently and i dont see it pulling a DVD rom key from the 0800 FW flashed BenQ (unlike my first set of logs i posted where it showed the DVD ROM key in the XBC log)...should it be?

could more than one BenQ key in my jungle flasher key DB be causing XBC to not detect the proper DVD rom key?

My Latest attempt at ripping an XGD3 game

This is a very large video partition that isn't hosted on the database, so
you'll have to find it elsewhere and put it in your StealthFiles folder --
Since XGD3 video partitions are unique for every game, you probably won't find
it online and will have to rip another copy of the game instead

The fact you have files/folders in there means the DVD drive must be 'ok' for the x360USBPro v2 to use it natively.

The problem is your BenQ drive is not on 0442 FW.

From the readme:

Phillips BenQ VAD6038
1 2 Y N

2 = Firmware must be XGD3 flashed (post 13141)

Your screenshot shows the drive as a 64930C. Dump and reflash as 0442 OFW and it should be fine.

so flash with orig-04421C-A020.bin in the \firmware\OFW\BenQ\BenQ_Post_13141 folder and rip with OFW rather than 0800 FW if im understanding correctly?

It might be worth mentioning that this DVD ROM came out of a 360 that was never updated for the XGD3 game disc format.....I have a phat 360 here that also uses a BenQ thought has crossed my mind to flash my ripping drive with OFW and the fat 360 DVD key and running an update via USB (not xbox live) and trying to rip from there.

Yes, that's precisely what I said.

You don't need anything else in the XBC folder for a successful XGD3 rip. If you're having issues, eliminate your setup by flashing the 0800 FW to your drive.

Thats what i did in post #7 when it was mentioned and the logs in post 7 reflect my outcome of the 0800 FW....guess ill flash the drive with the fat 360's FW and see if it functions properly as a legitimate 360 DVD ROM and take it from there?

Is it only this game disc causing you problems?
no i tried a while ago to rip other XGD3 games with the same drive (Gears Of War 3 to be exact) and got the same ABGX read outs. Im wondering if it dosent have something to do with the fact that this particular DVD ROM was never flashed via MS update for XGD3 games before....the last dash update this DVD ROM's system had on it was either Halo Reach or Fallout 3 so i know the original Firmware is out dated.....but logically i shouldn't have to have the Firmware on the DVD ROM updated via MS update either i should be able to just flash it and be done with it....but who knows, ill start looking more into the drive being at fault and see what i can come up with myself I guess. As a side note its not just disc 2 that wont rip either disc 1 will not rip and as previously mentioned neither will gears of war 3.
