Trying to save a Trinity

I have a trinity board that I tried RGH'ng over the summer, I botched something up and put it to the side and recently dug it back up.
I should have made a note of what I did to it, if I recall correctly I wrote to the nand and when I went to power it up the thing stopped booting properly
Now upon physical inspection the board looks ok, and I'm wondering if it can be salvaged.

What happens is as soon as you plug power into the board the fan kicks on high, you don't have to press the power button to turn it on, the fan just starts. And from what I can tell the nand is not readable or writable.

Has anybody seen this behavior before, or know what could potentially cause it that I might check?

Note 1: My first thought was that it may be power related, but I have no real evidence to support that

Thanks in advance

Not sure whether this relates to Xbox 360 motherboards but nearly every time I've seen that sort of behaviour with PC/Laptop motherboards it down to blown caps.

I'd start by double checking all of them and pay extra close attention to make sure none of them have been accidentally removed (i.e. the really small ones).

Is the ROL board plugged in when you are plugging the AC cord in?

Besides bulging caps, check for bent pins at all ports.

Zooming in on the CPU/Power side of thing, all caps appear to be in place.

Well if you dont figure it out and you want to unload it I could take it off your hands. Could always use some spare parts.

Sounds like a bad flash, faulty smc or maybe faulty southbridge.
