It’s been a while since I been in the scene but a buddy of my flashed the wrong bios to his 1.4 Xbox TSOP and now it frags. I have my X3 installed in his box so it can at least boot. My questions are, have there been any improvements for tsop flashing currently. I would really like to get his box going again and reflash the TSOP but im just not sure if that’s possible with the x3. I have heard with special bios’ it can be done, or possibly booting the x3 and pulling it off the lpc and disabling d0 at the right time may work. I’ve been searching around for a while now looking for an answer but no luck as of yet. Please let me know if there’s anything i can do

There are ways (and I've done it with a 2.3b Pro) with LPC based modchips, but I'm not sure if an X3 can do it. You need to be able to disable the chip by removing the d0. You also need a special BIOS that came with the Evox 3921 dashboard release.

I have these files at home - I've also written a step by step guide on how to do it. Basically you're grounding the A15 point as well as connecting the d0 to the motherboard. Boot from the special BIOS and after a couple of seconds, remove the d0 - the BIOS should boot but still allow you to flash the TSOP.

You than man, ok, i have the bios now, got the x3 installed, does this sound right?

1 - Flashed the "tsop" bios to bank 2,
2 - Boot from Bank to on x3 with D0 and A15 Grounded
3 - After Flubber POST pull D0
Now Do I Flash The TSOP Via Evo-X or Raincoat ? Or Does it not matter ?

What BIOS did you flash to your X3? What was it called? It should be Evox-matrix-tsop.

As for the A15 point - check this:

Personally, I have tried and tried again to get it to work with the X3 for about a month, and I could never get to do so. But as soon as I used an X2, BAM! It worked.

Even though I like to think my skills are perfect, I know that they are far from it. If you do get it to work, Id be pleased to hear that it does work. Good luck!
