but would it be ok to join 2 into a 1mb bios file. and if so. where do i put the x2config.ini file.

Regardless of how you run the BIOS (no experience with TSOP, sorry.) the location of x2config.ini remains the same. It should either be in the root of F: or E:, the bios checks in that order. Be sure to check out the ini editors that are available, some have built in file transfer to your box. Xecuter posted links in the "ESSENTIAL" sticky.

This is the point at which the bios waits for the HDD to spin so it can check the ini file for the settings to use. its only 2-3 seconds not too much longer then any normal boot. on a plus side people are wowed when they see sumin unuseral like that little screen because it is not very common.

Patience... the team is aware how "boring" the loading screen is and have seen the complaints about the load time. (I'm in agreement with the coders, quit the whining. This thing is f'in cool!) My guess from what I've read posted this text is a placeholder to start, otherwise people REALLY would have been bitching about why their box has a black screen for X seconds. Yes, the pause is here to stay due to the fact that the HD needs to init. But I'm sure we'll see something much cooler looking in the future. If we're real lucky, the possibility to inject our own image into the bios... don't hold your breath tho, this latter part is just my speculation.

OK. I must start this off by saying that yes the load screen is boring, and my wait time is exactly 11.43 secs. (Unlike all the officials are saying) but let me finish with WHO FING CARES. This is the 1000th forum where someone is bitching about this. Yes it would nicer if there wasn't this wait time but as they have said several time it isn't going to change. So lets work together on this. Lets help each other by not posting anymore about the wait time. Maybe then we won't piss them off and they may find time to actually want to work on an xbe to change your ini. (The "live" part of config live). Thats what I would like to see. Go ahead and add another 20 seconds if you have to. What is really important here? That all I am asking. Is the 10 secs from when you push the power button on your xbox to when the flubber comes up really that important? Damn! I haven't even sat on my couch by then. Ok I am done venting now. Sorry.

I vote for the "X2 config live loading" text be replaced with japagi's avatar.
