Turning Hrd drive upside down?

I want to turn my hard drive upside down in order to get more room to the 4 pin connector. Will this effect/hurt, my modchip or xbox? Is this even possible? Appreciate all help

Hard drives can be mounted any which direction you chose really. Do you think turning a laptop upsidedown would give you the Etch-e-sketch effect? You might need to drill new holes for the mounting screws, and don't forget that the red line on the IDE cables has to still face the power connector, but it should still work.

a lot of people mount them upside down and claim it helps with heat... i dont know how much truth there is to it though.

yeh, i was thinking it would interfere with the heat, but i didnt know in which way. thnkx for the info
