TUT for removing jewel

i wanna remove my green jewel so it is clear with the xbox name on it. i cant seem to find the tut. i hope i dont need to take apart my xbox...............again

A hairdryer usually does the job of loosening the adhesive on it...

but do i peel it from under the cover or can i just let my box assembled?

It's stuck on the top, but unless you intend to cut into the case to add LEDs underneath it, it's hardly worth messing with.

how do i get rid of the blk sticky stuff? then get the jewel clear and see through. im probly gonna use a saw and saw under the jewel so it reveals some internals

i found the hairdryer completely useless when trying to get my jewel off. the trick for me was sticking the xbox cover in the freezer (just the cover not the whole xbox) and then hitting right behind the jewel with a small hammer. it poped off instantly. i then used pretty much a small screwdrive to scrap all the glue off of it. to make the jewel transparent i sanded the back with high grade sand paper and then when i had a clear scratched jewel i used brasso to polish and remove the scractches, and now my jewel looks great. hope that helps.
