Tutorial how to change fan settings NAND-based with no need to use the 12v fan mod.
Programs needed:
- NandPro 2.0d
- 360FlashTool 0.95 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BNY40E49
Tools needed:
- Nand Dumper (USB / LPT)
- Soldering Iron
Steps:
1. Dump your NAND using NandPro (orig.bin)
2. Open your NAND Dump using 360FlashTool (There is no need for CPU Key, so ignore that)
3. Navigate from Tools > Edit Config
4. Check CPU and GPU Fan Speed Checkboxes and set your desired fan speed¹. (I use 80% for Xenons and Zephyrs, 70% for Falcons) 100% = 12v
5. Save config to orig.bin and flash back to NAND
6. Done!
¹. You can also set the threshold at what temperature you want the XBOX 360 to spin the fans at 100% (Auto Setting) In the "Thermal" box. I use 60C,60C,63C for Xenons as an example.
60C = CPU, 60C = GPU, 63C = EDRAM
An example of what you can do:
Hope this helps
Cheers!
