I just wanted to share my wiring / install using the Team Xecuter QSB (Quick Solder Boards) and #2 JTAG PCB. These PCB's are included with the NANDX retail kit and offer easy installation of the JTAG hack.
Although the QSB/JTAG PCB make install easy in my opinion the installation could be easier and cleaner, especially now with alternate contact/solder points. In this tutorial I replaced DB1F1 (Red Wire) with DB1F1 Alternate which is under the motherboard near the South Bridge Chip and labeled FT2R2.
This alternate point on Falcon and Jasper boards will already have exposed solder. Simply clean, scratch pen, and apply more solder. If you have a Zypher board you will need to expose copper with a scratch pen and then add solder.
I also replaced the ROL wiring (Yellow Wire) from the RF Board to the ROL contact point on the bottom of the motherboard.
What you need:
NANDX Retail Kit
Soldering Iron
Solder
Desolder Braid
Scratch Pen
Flux Paste
22 Gauge Wire
Heat Shrink Tubing / Heat Gun
2x1N914/1N4148 Auto Switching Diode
(You can re-use the diodes that are included in the retail kit if you prefer however I replaced them.)
OK so basically what I have done is install the QSB boards and the JTAG Hack #2 PCB board like you normally would. First I cleaned the areas and using a scratch pen exposed the copper points. I then removed any solder "bulbs" or "blobs" that were raised up.
After prep I stuck the PCB's onto the board, aligned the contact points, and fluxed the points. I put the soldering iron to the point and placed solder to the iron and with the flux it melts into place cleanly.
After the the PCB boards are installed we will move onto modifying the Red and Yellow wire.
First, cut off the diodes on the Red and Yellow wire. Stick the Red and Yellow wire through the area where there are 5 holes on the motherboard. Your motherboard may or may not have these holes/contact points so you may need to run them through the South Bridge holes instead.
After you have run the wires we are going to solder a diode to each of the wires with black line facing the contact points. Leave about 1/4" on each side of the diode for the wire.
At alternate DB1F1 solder a small piece of 22 gauge wire to the contact point. Then solder the diode to the wire. Slip some heat shrink tubing over the wire and attach the JTAG #2 Kit Red wire to the Alternate DB1F1 wire.
Why wire/diode/wire? If you solder the diode directly to DB1F1 or Alternate DB1F1 you risk "ripping" or "damaging" the point as the diode is not as flexible as wire.
With the Yellow (ROL Wire) simply solder the diode to the yellow wire and heatshrink the wire/diode leaving about 5cm to solder the diode directly to the ROL point.
Using a few small pieces of electrical tape secure the wires to the bottom of the board.
Once all installed remember to set the JTAG PCB #2 switch to 330 and set the jumper to 330. If you get E79 try 470.
Also, when creating your FB or using JTAG Tool you would use ORIGINAL wiring.
