Do you know where I can get an xbin for an X3CE mod chip in a 1.6b xbox?

One problem, I dont have an account for flashfxp thus I cannot connect to the xbins.

Where do I get an account?

You can download FlashFXP and use it free for a short while a month or 2 can't remember exactly. After that you can purchase it like i did. Well worth it in my oppinion. Other options are to get free FTP programs that are available. If you download the auto tool from this website you should be able to access it without signing up for anything. Click HERE to view the thread relating to the Xbins Auto Tool.

I am flashing my x3ce 1.6b xbox with a disc, I followed every direction with care! I start up the xbox and select load bios from disc, then insert the CD, the screen changes and says "WAITING FOR DRIVE" Then after about 1-1/2 minutes the screen changes back to "Insert CD - flashing mode" or whatever and the disc gets ejected. WTF

I used the XBIN X3_1463.bin and a 100MB dummy file. When burning in Nero I changed X3_1463.bin to BIOS.bin just to let you know.

You don't need to use ANY FTP programs (CUTEFTP, WINFTP...etc...) to connect to XBINS
at all. Just use the DOS prompt. It's easier and quicker that way.

Easier and quicker for a computer whizz like yourself or Da Old School Man Catalyst maybe... but imagine trying to teach somebody who has never used FTP before...all the commands and stuff. Point and click is much easier i think.
