Hi there,

So I have a 9504, updated to 0272? and from there I purchased the replacement pcb..

my drive was flashed before so I have the OFW for 9504 >_< but not 0272, or does that not matter?

(I guess it does)..

but I do have dummy bin for 0272 so is that ok?

guessing I can use FW from one of the packs that JF has with it, and use the dummy bin for the key?
...

Saying that, when I update will I even need to flash back to stock? Since the PCB has WP etc on there? or should I 'just in case'

sorry, just the first time I flashed my dad updated the console before I made it back to stock -.- ..... so i never got around to learning it.

Thanks,
James

TX will always advise you to return drive to stock before doing any Dashboard updates.

Your dummy.bin from the 0272 OFW will be fine to use as source when returning to stock FW :)

Read the tutorial in the tutorial section many times to familiarise yourself.

And welcome to the scene :)

Trust me when I say 'The Tutorials Don't Lie'

Ubergeek has gone to a lot of trouble dissecting the JF tutorial and rebuilding it into individual tutorials to make the whole 'Flashing' process as simple and painless as possible ;)

That is just one of the reasons why TX is the Best Xbox360 support forum......Period :p
