LITEON DG-16D4S - SLIM TX replacement board help (bad board maybe?)

Sorry if i have this in the wrong area i checked the list on forums even product and did not see anything on the TX replacement board.

well ok hooked it up the first time flashed everything followed jf tut to a tea and everything was working played a game for like 15mins then shut it off next day figured i play a game and older game i had and it loaded for a sec then gave dirty disc error. Since then i have not been able to play any games.

So i tried reflashing no luck so i figured maybe it was the connection box thingy that it comes with for those that dont know how to solder so i solder it on still nothing. The laser started to recognize the disk spin for a sec then stop that was it so i figured maybe the laser went bad, so i ordered a new one took the anti static solder off hooked it all up and nothing. Neither laser will flash that red beam out of them.

So i was thinking maybe it was the cable so i tried a new cable nothing still. Just maybe the TX Replacement board might of just took a crapper anyone think? i mean even new stuff sometimes does not work or works then goes out after a day it happens i just would like to figure this out incase i have to send it back.

Or does anyone else have had the same issue i tried searching everywhere and have not had no luck with anyone having similar problems. Any help is much appreciated.

dirty disc error is norm a bad burn i think.

also did you try a retail game before replacein laser.

cant see it being the tx pcb to be honest.

post some hi res pic of the solder you did

Do originals play
What media type are you using?
What about the original pcb, can you put it back into the drive?

Tried with retail games like call of duty modern warfare 2 and this stuff was happening before i did the re-soldering of the hookups between the board and cables. So i first started with there solder-less kit which worked great like i said tell all that happen then even after it started to do that still with the solder-less kit.

Pic has been uploaded all them making connection did get a little hot with the soldering gun because of the color around the soldering points it looks like but all are making connection i think but i can always retry it of course turn the soldering gun down but like i stated it was doing this before with the kit so it would not make sense.

originals did work at the time i played for that 15 mins
i have yet to have 1 bad burn from the media i use gigablock it plays in my other consoles fine
it was the 9504 drive now labeled 0272
The old pcb board that was in it kamakize fail reason for replacement board ha still was able to get dummy first before hand and full dump on unlock but i must of did something after but that was in another topic i posted on here and just went with the replacement board

Edit Again: ok was able to get the old laser to lite up now with the red beam is there a link to a pot tweak for the slim drives yet? maybe it got out of wack or something dont know why the new one did not light up wondering if it needs to be done too. and maybe this is why it is causing it to just spin for a sec then stop

Well still might just be the laser looks like the guy that sent me the laser sent me the wrong model i got g2r instead of the g2r2. Sorry guys i just noticed this no wonder why it would not power on and that ill have to wait for the right one.

load your dummy then as source and not the full dump just incase there was a prob with it.

just narrows one thing out if you do that.

I got the same problem. Got a new xbox and put in the same board, worked perfectly for 7 days and started giving me open tray again. Got a new board, AND a new slim, and till now its been working (2 days and counting.. hopefully it will live).

i have fitted 34 of these and no probs yet.

i think it depends on how your retailer packages them to you.

thats how they get damaged.
