TX Replacement PCB Liteon DG-16DS, 0225, open tray error

Hi all.

I installed one of these the other day (Monday)and all went fine. I got a call tonite from the guy I fitted it for saying every time he puts a disc in it say open tray.This problem started today. This goes for originals and backups. He,s dropping the 360 back to me tomorrow, but I thought I would popup a post incase anyone had came across this before?

i'd say first of all, reflash it
make sure to outro several times

if you dumped the full fw from the original drive, make sure to create the 2.0 fw from that, not the dummy.bin

there is a post about altering serial info buried here somewhere (posted by Braveheart), try that next

if that doesn't work, there is always the pot tweak

I have the 360 slim back.. It had been working fine for 4 days with the TX pcb and then started playing up on Friday. Open tray all the time, so I had a little tweak and got originals to boot now and again but not backups. So I guess the laser is fecked. I have ordered a new laser.

Any-one know what the default settings for the pots are. The 360 was reconditoned before the guy I did the board for had it, so the pots may have already been messed with.!

Quick update.
I have fitted a new laser and set the dvd pot to 2.80 and all is fine again
