Hello guys!

I've got a 0401 with a replacement PCB from Team Xecuter, flashed with stock 0401 spoofed with my key and locked, that just won't unlock (0x8c -> 0x00) to allow me to flash it with iXtreme.

I can put the drive into vendor mode, I can dump the firmware or the key again just fine if I want to, but I can't unlock it.. PCB's switch is on WP#=1 but when I click on the 0x8c button on Jungle Flasher it just starts to write dots on the console and never ends, nor it reports spi unlocked.. it just sits there forever writing dots..

Another odd thing that I don't know if is expected is that, when I click on the 0x8c button, a pop up tells me the "Spi Status Register is H/W protected. If you wish to resend clear Spi Status Register...". Is that expected? Does that mean the the PCB switch is not working?

Tried everythin I could think of and I just cannot unlock it again. When I installed the PCB, I was able to flash it for the first time just fine, locked the PCB just fine... but now, it just won't unlock...

It's sata.. Have no clue why it says IDE :).. anyway, the same port worked just fine when dumping the key form the original PCB with SlimKey and worked just fine when flashing the TX-PCB with the stock firmware spoofed with the key (console works just fine with the TX-PCB and original discs)

I'd love to go for a x360USB Pro, but it's expensive to get one shipped to Brazil and it takes forever... Besides, I'd imagine that, if my connection worked for dumping and flashing, and is still working for dumping and intro mode, why wouldn't it work for spi unlock? I'm almost going for a russian original sputnik on the original pcb :)

not always im affraid, unlocks work different on chipset as far as i know. in theory it should be fine, but in reality liteons are strange as hell with sata ports. with wp1 it should unlock straight away. u may have to go usb :( , and it is wierd as hell it says IDE lol

Changed to another port.. now it says SATA. It's odd.. there is no IDE ports on my mobo :) Anyway, on this port, I can still dump/intro just as the other port.. but no unlock..

No other toughts other than ordering a x360usb pro? I was able to lock the drive just fine using my connection... seems rather odd not being able to unlock it through the same connection and blame it on that connection... but I might be way wrong about that...

Yep, I'd say so.. I did flash the blank PCB with the spoofed stock firmware correctly just like the guide instructed me, locked it at the end, and it works ok now (stock firmware). So it replaced the original pcb successfully.

Correct me if i'm wrong, please. To reflash the drive, now with iXtreme:

1) I set the switch to WP#=1 (checked);
2) Intro the drive to put it in vendor mode (checked);
3) Drive reports sp1 locked (0x8c), so i click the 0x8c button (phat ticked) to unlock it (that's where it doesn't work).

Did I miss something? The pictures I posted on the first post shows exactly my steps... The odd thing is the popup saying "Spi Status Register is H/W protected" when I click the 0x8c button. H/W?

Thought of that yesterday. Ticked Slim, clicked 0x8c, it reported tha it had successfully unlocked the drive and changed spi status to 0x00.. I was about to open a champagnhe.. But then when I clicked write it failed reporting the drive was locked.. Did it a few times and had the same result...

No champagnhe for me :/ lol

Seems that's you're follwing the tuto, so the problem isn't here...

The slim drives are very "temperamental" with SATA connection. The x360Usb pro will sort this I think... Otherwise, don't see what else to do :(

It's definitely the ports. You could try fiddling around with your drivers and Jungleflasher (remove/reinstall...etc.). Alternatively try another computer or pick up a an X360USB Pro. That's why they made it to help with odd inconsistent port issues.

Yeah that's because you don't tick slim you tick phat. Just like the instructions tell you.

Yeah.. No need to throw a rock at me. Ticking slim was a desperate attempt since the instructions didn't work for me, just like it's stated and pictured throughout the thread. No problem, i got it: x360usb pro. I'll thank who was kind enough to mean to be helpful.

So.. back again. Finally imported a X360USB PRO and also a CK3i (since I was gonna spend money anyways...). Now i've got he whole package. TX Replacement PCB, X360USB PRO and the newest connectivity kit (CK3i). Installed all the drivers, hooked everything up and... :/ ... same thing. It just won't unlock.

Now what? Any other ideas? Maybe the replacement PCB is somehow defective? Don't know what else to do.

Bellow some new screenshots:
