Hi, I'm trying to flash a friends Slim 360 with a 9504 drive in it. My plan was to update his dashboard to the latest dash but to have my Tx unlocked board in his machine so his drive doesn't get locked but it's not working like that.
I've flashed his stock firmware (9504) to my drive (originally 9504) which has the Tx board in. I start the update but it refuses to do it due to to an error. usually when the dvd keys and drive don't match.
Our drives are the same, my Tx board has his stock firmware on it but I can't update the dash. I tried to update with his drive in it flashed to stock and the update completed successfully so can't I update his dashboard with a Tx board with his stock firmware on?
If this is the case, it's a serious flaw in the Tx replacement PCB as when we need to flash back to stock to update sometime in the future (maybe mid november) we won't be able to update the dash unless you kept your stock PCB. I'm hopefully wrong as I'm sure they would have thought of this but I don't know.
Should I have put my Tx PCB into his drive and then flash to stock to update? I can't see it making a difference as the drive properties is all on the PCB.
I'm confused:crazy:
Can anyone shed any light on this, I have someone else who wants their 360 slim flashing but the Tx PCB's are all out of stock again.
