LITEON DG-16D4S - SLIM TX Unlocked PCB - Can't write

So I purchased a TX pcb to replace a botched board however apparantly I must have forgot to finish injecting the key. It plays games as DVD.

I then took back to comp. redumped (now showing the 0272 that I flashed it with) but it showed up all 7s. So I then manually entered the Key - Tried to write but it would only get to the first dot on the first bank then stops.

So I had to re-intro and noticed that when I put it into vendor mode it is automatically flipping it from Slim to Phat. It won't dump using slim key.

How can I get this to write with the correct key? (Its currently set to WP1 but I've even tried on WP0 with same results.

It has to be used as phat for some strange reason, try the jungleflasher tutorial it explains about using replacement board, you may have to do a liteon erase. have you made a backup of your dummy.bin ? if so just erase it and reflash

seeing you cant write to your drive.

you did unlock the spi.so it shows 0x00. and not ox8c

when you write fw to your drive the switch should be set to WP=1 and spi set to 0x00.

once you wrote the fw to the drive.you press the spi lock so it changes to 0x8c then set the switch to WP=0

drive shows 0X00 I've tried both LO erase and the erase button neither let me write afterwards.

I don't have the full dump but I have the key. It was a slim I purchased without a drive and just glitched it.

oh and using the ck3i and USB pro

apparantly my issue is that Jungle flasher will not inject the key. I opened the CFW selected to manually enter the key - It shows in the bottom I then tried to save the CFW and when opening the CFW at the top half it still shows 77777

tried with another 0225 unlocked board - same thing JF will not actually inject the key. If I safe cfw its still the old key and after writing still old key.

I tried 1.89 and 1.88 just to see if it made a difference.

How can I get it to inject my key for this slim?

open the pdf in "documentation" under jungle flasher and look at page 211 and follow the guide

It won't work unless you have a dummy.bin as your source. Use LT as the target and spoof the key and it will write.

click open source firmware and point it to the original dummy.bin that u extracted from your original pcb

Its not an issue of writing any more way past that - I've flashed 1000s of drives I know the ins and out of JF -

I have no dummy this is slim that came with no drive - I got the key from Xell - Now I'm trying to manually spoof the target. JF will not manually spoof when I put in key check it and click ok - It shows up in the target with the new manually spoofed key but if I save or write it - it will revert back to the old key.

try this
use the FFFFF drive key for the source firmware
open the same thing for target firmware
click manual spoofing
enter the key DONT click check
and just press ok
save it to file then use it as source to flash to lt

tried with random benq FW and injected w/e drive key i wanted and it worked

oh click on the blank white box under "Spoofed As" and you will be able to press "Ok" sorry if I wasn't clear

Yes like I said it LOOKS like it puts the key - as it shows in the bottom but when I go to save the CFW and reopen it its back to all 777777777

you did not load the key .bin did you?

OMFG if another person replys with these cookie cutter responses I'm going to go crazy

THERE IS NO KEY BIN NO DUMMY BIN NO ORIGINAL DRIVE BOARD - Key was retreived through Xell on a console that I never had a disk drive. So all I have is the key and am trying to inject into the CFW.

lol well now i am thinking you not really done 1000s of drives hahah ..well just type in the key that is what i asked and not use the .bin slow down and read !!!as i said did you load the target firmware then open manual spoof type in you key then ok it then flash the drive?? do not need to save just do it ..ps dont forget the switch on the pcb :biggrin:
