Hey guys.Im trying to flash my xbox 360 phat lite-on drive and now im stuck If I get the tx x360usb pro v2,will I still need to buy a ihas burner because i've read the features of the tx x360usb pro v2 and it say ''Convert any stock 360 DVD into an 0800 ripping drive without modifying the firmware
100% Compatible with XBC (latest version required)
Even works with Hitachi 0500* (Liteon DG-16D5S 1175 Support Coming Soon)
Supports all formats inc XGD3
No CFW required! Works with any stock 360 DVD Drive
Supports the maximum possible speed that the drive can handle
We recommend all rips are run through ABGX to get the perfect median AP2.5 Profile.''
It sounds silly but w/ this device I can burn games on my 360 dvd drive. Please help im very confused.

''You are now able to connect any stock 360 DVD Drive to your computer using the X360USB PRO v2 via USB and it will instantly give it a drive letter in Windows! No custom firmware required, no 0800 firmware required, ANY stock 360 Drive can be used to rip backups using a new upcoming version of XBC with a fully optimized profile giving total support for XGD3 with the data throughput supporting the maximum possible bus speed using ANY stock 360 DVD Drive model ''

So what does this mean?I am a big noob when it comes to firmware modding so.....

yes you will need an IHAS to burn

0800 is a special firmware type you flash to a 360 drive to allow your PC to read backups from it

it means exactly what it says
you can take the drive straight out of your console , plug into the usbpro v2 and rip a game without needing to flash 0800 firmware onto the drive first, then stick it straight back into the console without reflashing

well if we're talking bare essentials you don't need any of that stuff.

use the 360 to power the drive and hook it up (SATA cable) to your PC. if your chipset isn't compatible then you can buy a VIA VT6421 card, they're only around 10$

if you were getting a usbpro v2 you wouldn't need the CK3 mini..it has the ck3i built in

^^I don't know how you got lucky, Members here were reporting months ago they were getting C versions from newegg^^
probably because its a 424, instead of the cheaper 124.

the 124 is only 18$, so I'm sure most users flocked to it. the 424 was 25$, not a huge price bump.

Read the feedback on the newegg listing, theres feedback dating up to mid september confirming they are rev B's

I bought one, and a couple days later so did my friend. Both rev B's

no need to spend 50$ on a drive worth $20

lol I just started back up here at the forums a couple weeks ago

I had no idea the ihas compatible drives were hard to come by. What drew me towards making the purchase was the fact I had a coupon for 5$ off and free shipping lol

I already have a 124 crossflashed to 524, I plan on crossflashing this to 624, and I'm going to put it in another computer I have.

I'm a sucker for coupons =P
