Uber Newbie - What am I doing wrong here?

OK - got the 2.6 chip and installed it on the xbox - booted up ok - made the latest BIOS cd - started up the xbox and from the menu selected updated BIOS from disk. It seems to go theough OK - get the green bar and the machine powers down. When I power it up it goes to the FLASHBIOS 3.0.3 screen. I never see the Splashscreen shown in the tutorial - I'm trying to instal Evo X and think i'm missing something here as it wont boot from the DVD - it just keeps going to the FLASHBIOS screen with the 3 options to update bios and 2 options to lock/unlock hard disk. Please help...I've read everywhere and i'm at a loss....

Flip the bank selector switch. 3.03 comes on bank 2. See my sig for why you need to flip the switch.

I have tried it on bank 2 and it's still the same. It won't boot from DVD and I still don't see the Xecuter splash screen. I have tried flashing on both banks. Any othr ideas ?

Sigh.... It doesn't matter what bank you flash from. Why is that so tough for people to understand? Anyway, it sounds like your bank selector switch may not be working. What happens with the switch on bank 1?

In bank 1 it just goes to the flashBIOS 3.0.3 screen. I don't see the Executer Splash! It dosen't boot from dvd/CD

what bios are you trying to flash should be useing
x2 5035 for v1.0 to v1.5 xboxs
x2 5035 v16 plus for v1.6 v1.6b xboxs

Damn.. opened up the box and reconnected all the 'connectables' on the chip and what do you now - it boots up fine now...damn... i hate it when sh*t like that happens..
