OK yeah well I'm FTPing NFSU 2 from my xbox to my computer and getting a max speed of 12KB. I'm using FlashFXP I have also tried using IE to FTP yeah it was estimating 6 days for completion so I went back to FlashFXP. Its not the cable either because I can usually FTP to the xbox at over 300KB. So is the xbox just slow at sending or what?

Still sounds like the cable! You should be getting between 7-11MB/s in transfer rates.
What cable are you using? If it's a crossover, how long is it? Did you make it yourself?

Its a brand which I totally forget nothing I have heard of and I know most of them. Its 14 feet. And yeah it's a crossover.
honestly I have ran into almost the same prob, mine would jump from 20mb - 2.
try a different ftp, and and what dashboard are you using, i have the best speeds with avaluanch abd xbmc

Are you running any other protocols on your Ethernet Adapter? Things like firewalls, p2p blockers etc throttle download speeds.
If not, then I'd definitely say the cable is at fault.

Not that I know of I have a wireless internet card plugged into the PCI, but thats about it. The cable is just going from my Mobos ethernet to the xbox

I wouldn't leave it there - try Half-Duplex 100Mbit..halomaster7777 said:

I have that problem too. i get around 20kb even if i put it to 10 half duplex or 100 half duplex. But when i send files over to another computer on my network it's extremly fast

have you tried using the same cable? ie unplug the cable from the other computer and connect to the Xbox?nospmohtkcin said:

damn I'm glad I'm not getting that slow of speeds, but hell i've never seen mine go above 2,500Kbps on a wired Connection, wish i could take advantage of that full 11,000kbps

Half-duplex only uses one pair of wires. If there's a break in one of the other pairs and you use full-duplex, then you're gonna get timeouts..
Stick with Half-duplex if you want. Unless you're gonna be sending and receiving data at the same time, you won't notice much of a difference.
