UIX anyone?

Hey there
I've looked into it and found it on XBins, unfortunatly there isn't a whole lot of info on installation on it because it uses the M$ dash and the UIX dash is a patch to it. Unfortunatly i can't access the forum on there official website as its through XBOX-SCENE and that paticular website is blocked while im at work.
Has anyone been able to install this and if so can someone please PM me with the Instruction on how to do so, or at the least direct me in the path for a Tutorial.

If you want to access xbox-scene and it is blocked, use it's defunct IP.

That is a calculation where you take the origional site IP address and multiply it by 256 a few times and get the real IP address. The way an IP address works, is it has 4 sets of 3 numbers to make it easy to remember and use, just like phone numbers. After we type an IP into the computer, somewhere in one of the OSI layers, i am not sure where but it is under any web filters, the 4 sets of numbers in an ip are converted into that big ass number. I am not 100% sure about all of this stuff, all I know is that the calculation works for most websites.

example IP address: 192.168.22.2
x1.x2.x3.x4
Formula: x1*256^3+x2*256^2+x3*256+x4

so the actual thing you type into calculator would be something like this...
(192*(256^3))+(168*(256^2))+(22*256)+2

and .....BLOCKED lol no worries, i work for a big company and there firewalls, and filters work "wonderfully" (damn them)

As far as I know and according the the official UIX forum on X-S, UIX (the dashboard) is not out yet and will not be for some time. What did you get from xbins?. Are you confusing it with user.interface.x.xm.tool which is a directx .x -> .xm file conversion tool which runs on a PC.

ya i didnt think UIX was gonna even be out for a while...wonder wuts taking them so long in the first place to at least release a beta

Nope go check out XBINS, i got a rar file that had an xbe file and a couple xbox files. There's only 3 files in the rar and when i looked into the installation procedure from UIX or XBox-Scene they both say that these files are patches that you have to add to the M$ dash.

Gek025, what is the name of the .rar file. I cannot seem to find it on xbins in xbox/dashboard :? maybe you can PM me the exact location :wink: thanx.

I believe it under the THC dash section as that is what it used to be named, im not 100% sure as im at work, but i will check it when i get home.
