yes original dash will still be there...press xbox home, hold RB button on restart

Download the missing covers and once you're logged in to the FSD dash go to Game List and find the game with the missing Covers, etc. and using the Browse function find your cover and hit Save.

Lots of people have. It looks just like FSD 2.2 except for the cover flow. If you go to the FSD support site you can watch an entire video dedicated to the new features of FSD3.

I am however quite reluctant to upgrade due to the database issue.

Yup. They state it needs a fresh install;
** NOTE ** if you install this over your existing FSD it will DELETE YOUR DATABASE.
NEW INSTALL ONLY!
So apparently its a full redownload of covers, screens, description etc.

I think something went wrong while installing FSD 2.2, My home Button is not working and avatar is not up along with my profile,

1, leave family settings on, you can still get covers and you wont connect to xbox live
2, no ,if you have it FSD set as default dash, just press the home button and go home---also depends on your dashlaunch settings
tells you in jrunner and dashlaunch what each setting does too, when you hover your mouse over it
