Not sure where to post this but:
I'v been using sx os 1.6 for a long time now, no issues. Wanted to update to 6.2 to play smash but the latest version of sx os I could get to boot was 1.9. Anything later and the screen goes black after the TX splash screen. I've been sitting on firmware 5.0.2 since getting sx os and figured I'd give updating a go and keep running 1.9 on 6.2 if it all worked. I used the hb loader to get into ChoidujourNX and updated to the 6.2 (exFat) firmware. Everything seemed to work fine, but now I can't get any version of sx os to load past the splash screen - but I can still get into the boot (vol +) menu on 1.9. I've tried sx os 2.5, 2.0.1, and 1.9. Figured my next steps were either keep trying lower versions of sx os or try restoring my nand backup. I've made sure the archive bit it unchecked and can't think of anything else. Anyone have any suggestions or experienced anything similar? I don't want to restore the nand if I don't have to, and I'm worried it will not fix the problem. Thanks!

only sx os 2.4 or above supports 6.2, delete the boot.dat in your microsd and copy the 2.4 or 2.5 boot.dat to it

As posted above, I tried 2.5 beta, I went ahead and again tried both 2.5 beta and 2.4.1 beta, both go black after the splash screen and neither will load the boot menu (vol +). sx os 1.9 does still go into the boot menu. any other ideas?

First of all. With firmware 6.2 you don't need to try any SX OS version below 2.4 - Only 2.4 and 2.5 will work! (Only the Boot Menu will work with older SX OS versions but this does not really help you)

Can you still boot into Sysnand without SX OS?

Maybe try a fresh SD card and only copy your license and the boot.dat on it and try it again.

If this also does not work, try restoring your NAND backup. If your SD card is fine and you can enter the boot menu then it looks as something might be wrong with the system update you did.

Didn't think about trying a different sd card, will give that a go. Also I've been using exFat sd cards - that wouldn't cause an issue would it? By boot into sysnand you mean like boot into a different cfw? Will booting into horizion from the sx os boot menu burn fuses?

So the cfw (I'm assuming atmosphere) loads, systems says it is on 6.2 and I get a prompt for a controller update - anyone know if this is safe to take? I'm assuming the problem is sx os at this point, will give it one more go shortly

so after playing around with a number of different cards/format settings I finally got a 64gb one (they are all sandisk) formatted with exFat 128kb sectors to work with sx os 2.5. All of my 128 gb cards were formatted with 32768kb sectors - I think at some point I read to do this in a forum, idk, but none of them work - do I need to reformat all of them to smaller sectors? is there a recommended size or did I just get unlucky?

With Sysnand I meant just booting the Switch Original without the jig and RCM-Mode as if it were original, just to see if your system is actually bootable.

But yes, the cluster size of 32 MB cluster size sounds kind of big .... Try reformatting your SD card (which did not work) with a smaller cluster size.
