HITACHI 79 Unbricking!

Hello!
If any one could help. I was trying to update from 2.0 to 3.0 using the freeflash option in jungle flasher. The program hang while writing the firmware. Restarted jungleflasher and my Hitachi can not be detected no matter what. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I'll save you the trouble.

You either need to replace the v79 PCB and try again, or get someone to remove the TSOP and reprogram it for you (not an easy job).

portio using a via card *has* been known to recover it some cases, it must still respond to modeb to do so.

How are you going to write to the drive if you can't send the unlock command ?

I agree in cases of 47-78, but v79 is a different kettle o fish, surely?

Let me guess, you didn't revert back to stock before upgrading to 3.0.

You don't need to revert to stock for free flash.

In the case of a spelling error, I blame Tapatalk.
