Uninstalling old chip before installing X3

Hey guys...
I recently decided to upgrade my X2.2 to an X3... My X2.2 was installed by an old buddy who has now moved away. So when I ordered my X3 I pre-ordered the Xapter thing with it so that I could install my X3 on my own. But now I am wondering what exactly I do to uninstall the soldered in X2.2? Do I need to do anything with a soldering iron or can I just pull the wires off the motherboard?

As well I want to double check. The Xapter makes it so I do absolutely NO soldering, is that correct?

Thanks a lot in advance.
Oh and sorry for being a dumb newb.

don't just pull.. take a solderig iron and heat the solder and pull they will come loose, then take some solder braid , lay over the holes and heat up to absorb any extra solder that is left, make sure the xapt3r is level or it will flake on you. there is also i tutorial to desloder on xbox-scene

Battlefield Bad Company 2 problem

I have a back up of Battlefield Bad Company 2 and i have the .iso and .dvd file. I run it with abgx and it works then i burn successfully on xbox backup creator but when i put the game in my 360 it wants to play like a dvd.

The drive is flashed with ixtreme 1.61.

I have wasted 3 disc on this. I have burned the .iso file and also tried the .dvd file.

I would try to use imgburn but i dont know how to put the break in the disc.

Please help!

Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2 problem

So instead of choosing the .iso file i should just choose to burn the .dvd and that will store all the info?

Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2 problem

I created another backup of the games using imgburn but not luck. It wants to play it like it was a dvd.

If the disc aint reading in your xbox 360 maybe it has something to do with the drive not being flashed properly.

Hope this helps :)

Drive is flashed right, it plays all other backups. I will just try getting a different "backup" and see if that helps.

Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2 problem

Ok i did the abgx360 mod and it is all successful. i added the patches and everything is good, but still when i pop the disc in it acts like its a dvd.

Im buring with imgburn and i tried xboxbackupcreator.

Drive is samsung flashed with ixtreme 1.61

Maybe im messing up the verifted files on the xbgx360 website. Im not really sure how to use them. I just picked the first 2 and patched with them and then tried the 2nd 2.

Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2 problem

Well my old banned consoles (running iXtreme 1.51 or 1.6) won't boot any recent backups and will only work on my live iXtremeLT.

Dunno if that helps at all.

Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2 problem

burn using the .dvd file. And just fallow what the blue help buttons in abgx tell you to do. It could just be that the game will not load using old firmware or the old firmware is looking for the stealth files that are not there.
