Hi, i have Samsung MS25 drive, witch is pain in the ass.. First i didn´t get it to Vendor mode. Then i use site tutorials to manage to get it Vendor mode with probe. Now i tried to read, it says "Unknown flash type Read aborted!"

Now i don´t know what i should do? When i plug dvd drive it shows me the key (i guess that is right one for the flash), but because i´m not sure that´s why i wanted to read it. I haven´t got the key because this ain´t my xbox.

1) Can i use key what it shows me at the beginning?

2) How to read? Should i do Intro again, or turn off drive or what?

It´s in Vendor mode. Dunno current FW, because i haven´t do it. My friend don´t know eighter, but the original COD MW3 game won´t work because of old flash. So i was going to update the FW.

Wait a second! I just noticed smth, i didn´t pay attencion before!
Flash chip properties:

Vendor ID: 0x2
Device ID: 0x1C
Name: Unknown type
Size: N/A
Type: Parallel flash with Status 0x70

So is it possible that there is bad flash? Is that why i can´t read it?

do you keep the probe there and watch for a change in the flash properties, our have you tried to intro and power cycle again once you get unknown flash properties

It goes straight to Vendor mode, and few times i have cycle power and then it goes Vendor mode. After it is vendor mode there happens nothing if i cycle power. I have tried intro again, but same result. I did also close programs, plug cables, and do it again with no luck..
